Under the direct supervision of Dr. Amjad Abawi Saleh, Dean of the College of Dentistry, and with the oversight of Ms. Jihan Abdulhussain, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr Najat Rashid, Head of the Surgery Branch, and Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim, Coordinator of the Basic Sciences Branch, the equivalency exam of foreign dentistry degrees was held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Students holding foreign dentistry degrees from various international universities took the equivalency exam at the College of Dentistry, recognized as the official ministerial centre at the University of Kirkuk.

The Faculty of Dentistry at Kirkuk University organized a solidarity event to show support for the Palestinian people in the wake of the tragic events resulting from the occupation's bombing of Al-Mamadani Hospital in the Gaza Strip. Dr. Amjad Abbawi Saleh, the Dean of the College of Dentistry, expressed unwavering solidarity with Palestine, stressing their enduring support for the Palestinian people who face severe injustices in Gaza.
